#BhojshalaKamalMaula dispute: #SupremeCourt to shortly hear the application moved by Muslim side seeking appropriate alternate site for offering of namaz by Muslims

After the HC declared the site as a temple, the petitioners approached the SC challenging the HC order. While declining to pass an interim order for restoration of status quo ante, the SC directed the state to provide an alternate site near Bhojshala for offering of namaz on Fridays between 1-3 pm.

Sr Adv Huzefa Ahmadi (for applicant): We applied to the Collector for allocation of the space. There was a representation by a group called 'Maharaja...Samiti' to the Collector. It was in the teeth of your lordships' order, as it said alternate site may be given at "sufficient distance" from the Bhojshala complex. Please see the Collector order now.
