Bombay High Court orders Maharashtra Government to pay a compensation of Rs 10 lakhs to a lady officer of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation who suffered a miscarriage while performing her duty during the civic body's special drive for demolition of illegal structures.

Court reminded the State Police of its "lawful duty" to provide protection to the public servants, who carry out demolition drives.
