International Workshop On “Beyond Borders 2.0: Careers And Trends In International Law' By DSNLU
Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2008 with the mission of providing quality legal education and fostering academic excellence in legal research. Located in Visakhapatnam, the university is recognized under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and has been granted 12(b) status by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
DSNLU offers a comprehensive range of programs, including a five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), a three-year LL.B., a one-year LL.M. with specializations in Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Commercial Law, Ph.D. and LL.D. The institution emphasizes practical legal training to prepare students effectively for their future careers in law.

The Centre for International Law and Allied Disciplines (CILAD) is an academic initiative dedicated to advancing the study and development of international law and policy through an interdisciplinary approach.
Bringing together students, scholars, and experts, CILAD serves as a hub for critical thinking and meaningful discourse on global legal challenges.
Recognizing the dynamic and evolving nature of international law including international trade law, international environmental law, refugee law and international humanitarian law, CILAD emphasizes the latest international developments on both academic rigour and practical engagement.
The Centre fosters an environment where students can explore legal complexities, engage in discussions, and contribute to shaping the international legal landscape.

About The Workshop
The Centre of International Law and Allied Disciplines (CILAD) is organising a one-day hybrid international workshop “Beyond Borders 2.0: Careers & Future Trends in International Law” focusing on key areas of international law.
This workshop aims to provide students and professionals with insights into career opportunities in international law, developments in international trade law, and contemporary issues in International Humanitarian Law.
The event will feature subject experts joining in person and virtually. The workshop will serve as a platform for interactive discussions, networking opportunities, and professional guidance from distinguished experts in the field.

About The Chief Guest
Prof. (Dr.) R. Venkata Rao is a distinguished legal academic and the Vice Chancellor (In-Charge) of IIULER, Goa. Previously, he served as the Vice Chancellor of NLSIU, Bangalore, for over a decade.
With over 45 years of teaching and research experience, he has authored six books, published 130+ papers, and guided multiple doctoral candidates.
A recipient of prestigious awards like the Prof. N.R. Madhava Menon Best Law Teacher Award (2018), he has held key positions in academic and government bodies.
