Bombay High Court comes down heavily on Maharashtra's Food & Drugs Administration (FDA) for filing a false report in court, with respect to its inspection of the canteens run in State Secretariat building (Mantralaya) and also Vidhan Bhavan building.

Notably, the FDA inspected 3 canteens being operated in Mantralaya and Vidhan Bhavan premises and claimed that the said canteens were 98 per cent compliant. However, when the court sent a group of 4 advocates to inspect the said eateries, the photographs placed on record portrayed an altogether different picture.
