2023 marked the centenary of the Legal Practitioner's (Women) Act of 1923, which first granted women the right to practise law in India. To commemorate & discuss the past, present & future of womaning in the Indian legal profession from an intersectional praxis, The Society for Democratic Rights, University of Cambridge is organising a Film Launch & Panel Discussion on 'CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF WOMEN IN LAW'

The launch of the film (IN)VISIBLE - by Bhumika Billa, a Ph.D student at Cambridge with the University of Cambridge, is being co- sponsored by Vibha Datta Makhija (Senior Advocate). 

A Keynote Speech will be delievered by Justice (Retd.) Hima Kohli, (Former Judge, Supreme Court of India) followed by a panel discussion.
