Central government has notified the appointment of Judicial officers and advocates as Judges of the Karnataka High Court, Gauhati High Court and Calcutta High Cour.
An official notification issued by the Union Law Ministry in the evening stated that in exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint them as Additional Judges.
Advocate Taj Ali Moulasab Nadaf has been appointed as Additional Judge of Karnataka High Court. The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended his name for appointment on January 19, 2023.
Judicial Officer Yarenjungla Longkumer has been appointed as Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court. Her name was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium on January 4, 2024 for appointment as Additional Judge.
Judicial Officer Chaitali Chatterjee Das has been appointed as Additional Judge of the Calcutta High Court. Her name was also recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium on January 4, 2024 for appointment as Additional Judge.
