Six Additional Judges of the Bombay High Court were sworn-in on Tuesday (June 9) as Permanent Judges of the High Court after the Central Government last week notified their permanent appointments.
Acting Chief Justice Ravindra Ghuge administered the oath of office to the judges sitting at the Principal Seat while Justice Anil Kilor, the Administrative Judge at the Nagpur bench administered oath of office to the judges sitting at Nagpur.
The judges who took oath are: Justice Nivedita Mehta, Justice Prafulla Khubalkar, Justice Ashwin Bhobe, Justice Rohit Joshi, Justice Advait Sethna and Justice Pravin Patil.
With these appointments, the strength of the High Court has increased to 76 against the sanctioned strength of 94.
