The Delhi High Court on Wednesday permitted NDTV's former directors and promoters Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy to travel to Dubai in August.
Justice Sachin Datta noted that the duo has been permitted to travel abroad on various occasions and both of them have complied with the conditions imposed on them in judicial orders.
The Court allowed a fresh application moved by the Roys seeking permission to travel to Dubai on August 01 to August 07.
“It is noticed that on various previous occasions, permission to travel has been granted to the petitioners. The itinerary for travel has been set out in the application,” the Court said.
It added: “It is not disputed that the petitioners have complied with the conditions imposed by this court in previous orders. In the said circumstances, this court finds no impediment in allowing the present application subject to the same conditions [as imposed in previous orders]. Accordingly, the permission to travel is granted subject to same conditions. The application is disposed of.”
The application was moved by the Roys in their plea challenging the look out circular which was opened by Central Bureau of Investigation pursuant to the registration of two FIRs dated June 02, 2017 and August 19, 2019.
