10 Judicial Officers Elevated As Additional Judges Of Madras High Court

The Central Government on Tuesday issued two notifications for appointment of 10 Judicial Officers as Additional Judges to the Madras High Court.
In the first notification, it is intimated that the following Judicial Officers, listed in the order of seniority, shall be the Additional Judges:
- Govindarajulu Chandrasekharan
- AA Nakkiran
- Veerasamy Sivagnanam
- Ganesan Ilangovan
- Ananthi Subramanian
All of them will assume their offices for a period of two years except Ms. Subramanian who has been appointed till 30th July, 2022.
In second notification, it is intimated that the following Judicial Officers, listed in the order of seniority, shall be the Additional Judges:
- Kannammal Shanmuga Sundaram
- Sathi Kumar Sukumara Kurup
- Murali Shankar Kuppuraju
- Manjula Ramaraju Nalliah
- Thamilselvi T. Valayapalayam
All of them will assume their offices for a period of two years except Ms. Shanmuga Sundaram who has been appointed till 19th July, 2022.
The decision comes pursuant to the recommendation made by the Supreme Court Collegium vide Resolution dated September 23, 2020.
