The Central Government has notified the appointment of Advocate Aniruddha Roy as an Additional Judge of the Calcutta High Court, for a period of two years.
The Supreme Court Collegium had reiterated its recommendation to elevate him as a judge in January this year.
Earlier, the Collegium had recommended his name vide resolution dated October 24, 2018. However, the Centre did not move forward with the recommendation at that time.
