The Central government has notified the appointment of J. Sathya Narayana Prasad as an additional judge of the Madras High Court. The appointment has been made pursuant to a Supreme Court Collegium recommendation after a meeting held on October 6 this year.
"In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President, is pleased to appoint J. Sathya Narayan Prasad, to be an Additional Judge of the Madras High Court, for a period of two years, with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office", the notification issued by the Law Ministry stated.
