Covid 19: Calcutta High Court Extends Interim Orders Passed By It And Subordinate Courts Till June 30

Reviving the suo moto case registered last year, the full bench of Calcutta High Court has extended the interim orders till June 30 passed by the Court in the said writ petition.
The order was passed in view of the recent covid surge and restricted functioning of the High Court as well as the Subordinate Courts in State of West Bengal and UT of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The extension has been granted by a full bench comprising of Chief Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan, Justice Rajesh Bindal, Justice I.P. Mukerji, Justice Harish Tandon and Justice Subrata Talukdar.
"In view of the increase in COVID-19 cases and restricted functioning in the High Court at Calcutta and also in District Courts in the State of West Bengal and also in the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, we extend the interim orders passed in the Writ Petition till June 30, 2021." The order reads.
The case is further listed by the Court on June 28.
