The Centre has notified the appointment of Justice V Ramasubramanian as the Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court.
The appointment is made to the vacancy which arose due to the elevation of former CJ Justice Surya Kant to Supreme Court.
Justice Ramasubramanian is originally from Madras High Court and was transferred to Telengana High Court. The Collegium had recommended his appointment as CJ of HP High Court on May 10.
Justice Dharam Chand Chaudhary is at present the Acting CJ of HP High Court.
