A Court in Kerala's Trivandrum district has found Greeshma and her uncle Nirmalakumaran Nair guilty in the Sharon Murder case.
The order was pronounced by Neyyattinkara Additional Sessions Court. The sentence will be pronounced only later after hearing both sides. Greeshma's mother, Sindhukumari was acquiited.
Sharon Raj was allegedly poisoned by Greeshma to weasel out of their romantic relationship. Her mother and maternal uncle were also arrayed as co-accused for allegedly abetting the crime and for destroying the evidence. As per the case, Greeshma invited Sharon to her house and gave him an ayurvedic concoction laced with poison. Her mother and uncle were accused of destroying the evidence by concealing the bottle of poison.
Greeshma has been found guilty under Section 364 (kidnapping or abducting to murder), 328 (causing hurt by poison), 302 (punishment for murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence and giving false evidence to screen offender) of IPC. Nirmalakumaran was convicted for destruction of evidence.
