Justice Sathya Narayana Prasad (56), sitting judge of the Madras High Court, passed away in the late hours of May 6th, 2025, at Chennai. Sources say that the judge suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken to a private hospital, where he breathed his last. 

Justice Sathya Narayana Prasad was appointed as an additional judge of the Madras High Court on 27th October, 2021, and was later made a permanent judge on March 3, 2023.

Son of a District and Sessions Judge, Justice Sathya Narayana Prasad enrolled as an advocate in 1997 and had been a panel counsel for many organisations before his elevation.
