The Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on 02nd April, 2025, approved the proposal for appointment of the following Judicial Officers as Judges of the Allahabad High Court:
- Shri Jitendra Kumar Sinha,
- Shri Abdul Shahid,
- Shri Anil Kumar-X,
- Shri Tej Pratap Tiwari,
- Shri Sandeep Jain,
- Shri Avnish Saxena,
- Shri Madan Pal Singh, and
- Shri Harvir Singh.
A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) plea is presently pending in the Allahabad High Court seeking a direction for the timely and expeditious filling of all the judicial vacancies in the High Court in a time-bound manner. The HC is working with 79 judges as against the sanctioned strength of 160 judges.
