The Supreme Court Collegium has recently recommended the transfer of Justice Shree Chandrashekhar from Jharkhand High Court to the Rajasthan High Court.

This decision comes in response to the senior-most Judge of the High Court of Jharkhand, Justice Chandrashekhar's formal request for a transfer from the High Court of Jharkhand.

The request, dated 29 December 2023, has been acceded to by the Collegium, leading to the resolution to recommend Justice Shree Chandrashekhar's transfer to the Rajasthan High Court.

Notably, the Union Government had recently announced his appointment as the Acting Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court. This appointment followed the retirement of Chief Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra.
